Dominic Dominates the Carn Brea Open ...

Truro City Swimming Club members put on a display that they can all be proud of with many county and west of England times being achieved early in the season.

A special mention must go to Dominic Goodwin who dominated all the other swimmers in his age category. With eight swims he gained seven competition records. Dominic's 200m backstroke of 3.04.83 smashed the old record by over 30 seconds and giving him a time that takes his abilities to west of England district level.

Courtney-Lee Reid's 100m freestyle swim of 1.10.64 and a new record sets a good beginning for her new season. All in all Truro City Swimming Club came away with Twelve new records.

All of the swimmers who attended came away with something to help their confidence for the coming season and months of months hard training ahead. Some of the highlights were:

Dominic Goodwin 7 gold's, 1 silver; Ben Hicks 2 silvers; Thomas wood 1 bronze; Courtney-Lee Reid 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze; Alex Stephens 1 silver; Nicola Russell 1 silver, 1 bronze; Amelia Grigg 1 gold, 1silver, 1bronze; Mesha Wardman 1 gold, 1 silver; Megan Hicks 1 bronze; Kay de Courcy 3 gold's; Luc Hesdon and Jacob Wood achieved between them many personal best times.
